As we wind down the year, it is time to take a step back and reflect on what has been accomplished, what positive change or impact we have had, and how we will appreciate our accomplishments through self-care and organizational care. We do not do enough of this as advocates and practitioners in the public benefit sector. This is as good a time as any to start. (This article was first published in December 2018.)
The website is a collaboration between St. Stephen’s Community House, METRAC – Action on Violence and East Metro Youth Services. It draws on findings from the cyber self-defence research project to combat and counter the growing culture of cyber sexual violence. Designed by young women for young women, the website focuses on gender-based violence, cyber tips, cyber bullying, slut shaming, victim blaming and human trafficking.
