Justice Murray Sinclair is absolutely right when he declares that Reconciliation is not an Aboriginal problem. It is a Canadian problem.

As Canadians, we bask in the glory that Canada, as a multicultural society, respects the rights of all people who live in Canada. With the majority of Canadians enjoying a decent standard of living, most Canadians believe that our fundamental rights are by and large respected by our government and protected by the law.

Citizenship Changes 2015

Remaining changes to the Citizenship Act will come into force on June 11, 2015. Amendments to the Citizenship Act became law on June 19, 2014 and resulting changes came into effect at various points since then.

Consultation: The Changing Workplaces Review

Ontario Centre for Workforce Innovation CFP

The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities has released a Call for Proposals (CFP) to identify an entity or partnership of entities to set up and manage the new Ontario Centre for Workforce Innovation (Centre). The CFP will be open until July 6, 2015.

Stop Cuts To Refugee Healthcare

Canadian Doctors for Refugee Care is organizing a fourth National Day of Action on June 15th to take the facts directly to the streets and tell Canadians the consequences of the federal government's cuts to refugee health care. Actions are planned in 20 cities across Canada, and in Ontario in Brampton, Guelph, Hamilton, Kingston, Kitchener, London, Markham, Mississauga, Ottawa and Toronto.
