June 25, 2020 / Toronto - OCASI called for regularization of immigration status for all in an appearance before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities

OCASI Executive Director Debbie Douglas appeared as a witness before the Committee on Monday June 22, 2020. In her testimony, she called for:

  • Regularization of immigration status for those in Canada with precarious immigration status
  • Access to benefits for everyone, regardless of immigration status in Canada
  • Open up future economic immigration selection more broadly to include more sectors and all skill levels
