The Ontario government has announced pre-budget consultations. The government has identified the following priority areas:
- protecting Ontario’s economy and workers
- creating more jobs
- keeping taxes low and costs down
- delivering better services
- getting critical infrastructure projects built

Participate in pre-budget consultations
Ministry of Finance
Complete the online budget survey or send a written submission to the Ministry of Finance by January 30, 2026.
Email MOFconsultations@ontario.ca as soon as possible to request to attend a local consultation held by the Minister of Finance or Parliamentary Assistant.

Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs
Apply to make an oral presentation to the Standing Committee, or make a written submission by 6:00 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Public hearings will be held on different dates in communities across Ontario. Deadlines to register for oral presentations are approaching quickly. Some initial deadlines have already closed.
