About ocasisector@yorku.ca
The OCASI Sector listserv is established to support frontline workers and others working in OCASI member agencies to connect with peers, discuss challenges and concerns, network, and share information and resources.
You can use this list to communicate with peers about referrals, information, help/advice with a client problem, share resources, or discuss an issue that is relevant to the Ontario immigrant and refugee-serving sector (for example: preventing violence against women, sponsorship breakdown, jobs for young people, people without immigration status, healthcare access, and more.)
OCASI is the umbrella organization for immigrant and refugee-serving organizations in Ontario. (See here for more information about OCASI)
This list is made possible through York University -Centre of Excellence for Research on Immigration and Settlement (CERIS). OCASI appreciates their support.
Who can join
- This list is primarily for those working on the frontlines in an OCASI member agency. Anyone working at an OCASI member agency, who is not management, can join the list.
- The list is closed to those from non-OCASI member agencies, and those in government or media.
- Everyone can subscribe to receive the OCASI e-newsletter, OCASI In The Field.
OCASI maintains a separate listserv for Member Agency Executive Directors and alternate contact person.
OCASI reserves the right to decide who may (or may not) be included in the listserv.
