OCASI acts as a collective voice for immigrant serving agencies and coordinates responses to shared needs and concerns.
OCASI member agencies provide community and social programs for immigrants and refugees in Ontario. Many agencies offer specialized programs for women, refugees, seniors and young people.
Together with its member agencies, OCASI plays a unique role in strengthening the voice of immigrants in Ontario.

A Survey in Developing Charitable Status
The Guelph and District Multicultural Centre is currently involved in gaining Charitable Status. In order to do this they are looking to gather information from other multicultural groups in Ontario.

Community Education and Access to Police Complaints Demonstration Project (CEAPC)
In March of 2005 Scadding Court Community Centre in partnership with over thirty other agencies launched the Community Education and Access to Police Complaints Demonstration Project (CEAPC).
